Final Fantasy 7 Remake Release Date for PS4 CONFIRMED before E3 2019 reveal

The Final Fantasy Remake release date has been confirmed before the big E3 2019 conference with Square Enix.

According to Kotaku, the information was first revealed during a musical event hosted by Square Enix.

This happened tonight and included surprise news connected to the Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date.

During the event headlined by the director of the original FF7 game for PS1, Yoshinori Kitase, it was revealed that Square Enix plans to launch the Remake project in 2020.

Fans had been tracking the event online, looking for whatever clues might be dropped before the big E3 2019 reveal.

But it seems a lot were surprised to find out the official release date before the Final Fantasy 7 Remake E3 event.

This is being held by Square Enix early on Tuesday morning in the UK and can be watched via YouTube.

A new trailer has also been posted online by Square Enix for Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans tonight.

At the end of the new trailer, it’s confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is launching on March 3, 2020.

The new trailer is another surprise from Square Enix, who have been sharing news around E3, rather than saving it just for their own event.

Here’s the official statement from the company, covering the launch of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake next year: “Rebuilding and expanding upon the legendary RPG for today, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE tells the story of a world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy.

“In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance.

“Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic adventures that await him.

“Alongside the release date, SQUARE ENIX also unveiled a new key art featuring the game’s infamous villain Sephiroth, set against a burning Midgar skyline.

Stay tuned for more information during SQUARE ENIX LIVE E3 2019 on Monday, June 10th at 6:00pm Pacific / 9:00pm Eastern, and 2am in the United Kingdom.
