The Chase contestant Grace had just faced Paul Sinha in her head-to-head when the moment arose.
It came as Bradley Walsh spoke to the other contestants and asked them to give advice to Grace about which offer she should take.
But player John became a bit flirtatious in his reply to the barmaid on the ITV quiz.
He said: “We need you back here for your knowledge and dare I say your looks.”
It led Paul to declare: “What a smoothie!”
While Grace seem slightly bashful, Bradley then told John: “Pull yourself together, lad!”
Those watching at home also picked up the remark John made and commented on it on Twitter.
“That’s not what the chase means John #TheChase,” one viewer wrong.
“Steady John #thirsty #TheChase,” another commented.
A third shared: “Should be thrown off the team for that #theChase.”
“#thechase John’s up for it!! Bit of a dark horse!” a fourth exclaimed.
While a fifth added: “John you smooth b*****d #thechase.”
Grace ended up going for the lower offer after the first two contestants had managed a whopping prize pot of £53,000.
However, viewers of the programme weren’t happy considering Grace had told Bradley she wouldn’t go for the lower offer.
In the end she managed to get through to the Final Chase, taking £3,000 out of the prize fund.
Yesterday on the programme, Bradley mocked chaser Mark Labbett as he delivered an admission which rather surprised the host.
Following a question about magazines, Mark declared: “I’ve done an interview with Men’s Health but never Esquire.”
“You’ve done an interview with Men’s Health?” a shocked Bradley asked.
Bradley then poked fun at Mark for his large stature as he said: “What were you a page, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, big guy?
“You’re having a laugh aren’t ya?” the presenter laughed.
