Antoine Griezmann signed in March!

Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann reportedly signed a contract with Barcelona in March!

Griezmann, 28, sent shockwaves through Europe when announcing his decision to leave the Wanda Metropolitano less than 12 months after signing a contract extension.

However, reports in Spain suggest Griezmann struck a deal with Barcelona months before his announcement.

Radio station Cadena SER claim to have access to documents that prove the Frenchman agreed personal terms with Barcelona two months ago.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly furious with the situation and will consider reporting their rivals to FIFA for an illegal approach as they did in 2017.

Reece James bid

Manchester United are plotting a shock summer raid on Chelsea in a bid to sign right-back sensation Reece James, according to reports.

James is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in the country and has caught the attention of a number of clubs after a stunning loan spell with Wigan in 2018-19.

Leicester are also said to be interested in the 19-year-old but The Sun claim United hold the edge as younger sister Lauren plays for United’s women’s team.

The report says Chelsea would be willing to listen to offers in the region of £15m and United are desperate for a new right-back.

Manchester United double swoop

Manchester United are ready to move for two players after signing Daniel James.

Reports this week claimed Manchester United are closing in on Swansea’s James.

Personal terms are agreed and the deal should be confirmed next month.

And according to the Manchester Evening News, United are already planning their next signings.

They reckon United will chase Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

Philippe Coutinho preference

Philippe Coutinho would prefer to leave Barcelona for Chelsea rather than Manchester United, according to reports.

Mundo Deportivo claim United’s lack of Champions League football means the Brazilian is reluctant to move to Old Trafford.

Coutinho is said to be waiting to know if the Blues have their transfer ban overturned by The Arbitration of Sport.

If they are granted license to spend this summer, then Coutinho could move to Chelsea to replace Eden Hazard.
