The First Lady and US President Donald Trump will be visiting the UK in June. But the pair are not expected to stay with the Queen due to Palace renovations, according to the London Evening Standard. The news is likely to come as a blow to Trump who is believed to hold Her Majesty in very high esteem.
A US Government source told The Sun: “Coming to England as a guest of the Queen is a big deal for the President.
“He wants to share the experience with his family. That is understandable.”
Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle stayed at the monarch’s headquarters in 2011.
While details of the trip have yet to be finalised, Trump will be meeting Prince Charles for tea at Clarence House.

The future King’s meeting with the President will be the first between the two men since Trump was elected in 2016.
Trump intends to bring all four of his children on the state visit.
Ivanka, Tiffany, Eric and Donald Trump Jr will accompany him, according to The Sun.
Trump has a series of meetings with Theresa May in Downing Street scheduled for June 5.
Their itinerary also includes a joint press conference.
But pressure is mounting on the Prime Minister to resign as she loses control of Brexit.
The White House is said to be relaxed about the uncertainty surrounding Mrs May’s future and the chaos in Westminster.
A Whitehall source told The Times: “They seem delightfully oblivious to what is going on, to be honest.”
Trump’s attention is instead firmly fixed on his meetings with the Royal Family, including a state banquet at Buckingham Palace hosted by the Queen.
US diplomats have played down suggestions Trump would try to arrange a meeting with Boris Johnson.
While Talks with Nigel Farage are also thought to be highly unlikely but the Brexit Party leader could appear on the guest list for a reception at the US ambassador’s London residence.
