PS4 console news: Great news for PlayStation fans as secret projects are finally revealed

PS4 gamers will soon have access to a gaming library that has only been available on Xbox One and PC.

EA Access will be the latest big feature to land on PlayStation consoles, following a lengthy wait.

It has been confirmed that the digital library will be coming to PS4 console this summer, meaning some interesting changes for the future.

When EA Access goes live on PS4 in July 2019, PlayStation fans will no longer have to wait for early access to certain games.

If you have EA Access on Xbox One, you can start playing certain titles early, which is not something you can do on PS4s right now.

This will all change with the official launch and it wasn’t the only big news shared this week by Sony PlayStation.

Several major projects have also been teased, including the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

While it wasn’t a secret that Final Fantasy 7 was coming to PS4, there hadn’t been any substantial updates on the project for years.

That all changed this week with a new trailer from Square Enix during the State of Play live stream event.

Following the big trailer being shown, it was revealed that more news would be shared about the project during E3 2019.

Square Enix is hosting their own conference, and you can expect the Final Fantasy 7 Remake to be the main draw.

Fans are hoping for a release date announcement for the first portion of the game, but it’s hard to tell just how much new information we will receive.

A recent post from FF7 Producer Yoshinori Kitase teases: “Finally… the long-awaited moment has come. Sorry to keep you all waiting so long!

“We hope you enjoyed the footage shown during State of Play. It was quite short, but hopefully, you enjoyed seeing Cloud and Aerith brought back to life with such realistic graphics.

“And oh my god! Did you notice he was there too…?”

Fans of the PlayStation classic will welcome a big update on Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but it hasn’t all been good news this week.

Recent reports suggest that GTA 6, known to be in development but still be kept under wraps by Rockstar, will not be coming to the PS4 due to “memory restrictions”.

If that’s the case, then GTA 6 will also be skipping the Xbox One and solely focusing on next-gen consoles.

An alleged leaker online has provided a few tidbits of information, all of which should be taken with a big pinch of salt.

They wrote: “In the title which will make you a kind of a drug lord, you will start as a small time guy in Liberty City doing odd chores and small-time thefts and eventually work your way to Vice City, where you will join a famous gang.

“You will be tasked to look after business in Liberty City until you are brought back to Vice City and soon become the drug lord.”

It also claimed that GTA 6 would be set in Liberty City and Vice City, something that would prove a huge change for the series.

Another big PS4 secret revealed this week was the announcement of the MediEvil release date.

MediEvil launches on PS4 on 25th October 2019 and will include some new content that fans can enjoy.

A recent post on the return of Sir Dan reads: “And make no bones about it, even if you’re familiar with Dan’s first outing, everything you remember (and a lot that you don’t!) is back in ways that will make your head spin.

“In addition to a complete graphical overhaul, an improved camera system, and a brand-new narrator (brought to life by veteran voice actress Lani Minella) we’re adding a whole casket full of secrets to this PlayStation classic that we can’t wait for you to dig up.”
