Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5: Daenerys Targaryen KILLED by Arya after HUGE clue?

Game of Thrones fans are anticipating more deaths to come following the battle’s culling of many high-profile characters.

They are now fearing Daenerys Targaryen (played by Emilia Clarke) will be the next victim after a Melisandre (Carice van Houten) clue.

The Red Queen revealed to Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) she will end the lives of three specific people in the HBO show.

She told her: “Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes you’ll shut forever.”

Two of those deaths have been achieved by Arya so far – Walder Frey and the Night King – and fans think they are being set up to see Daenerys as the third, green-eyed victim.

One Twitter fan believes she will be the next victim: “Daenerys also has green eyes; maybe Arya gets to kill her and not Cersei when she turns into the Mad Queen.”

Another added: “I think those green eyes belong to Daenerys.. I mean Jon’s secret is no longer a secret and that means he is a threat to Dany’s claim to the throne — which, being the psycho that she is, will plan to kill off Jon but Arya steps in and bam goodbye Dany.”

A third fan believes fans are meant to believe she will be killed: “Does anyone else feel like the close-ups of Daenerys in this episode were designed to remind us that Dany has Green eyes?”

Many fans believed Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) would fall victim to Arya’s wrath, but it would be a twist if she was spared and Daenerys killed instead.

Daenerys could potentially be killed after inheriting the Iron Throne and transforming into the Mad Queen many feared she would be.

After Jon Snow (Kit Harington) revealed to her he is the rightful heir, fans have feared she will try to get Jon out of the way.

Arya may have to step in to get rid of Daenerys if she does turn into the Mad Queen.

To get on the Iron Throne she will have to defeat Cersei, something which will be harder without her dragon Rhaegal.

Enron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbaek) shot down the dragon after ambushing the attackers.

However, a clue in the season eight, episode five trailer has teased Rhaegal might be about to make a shocking comeback.

She has had an eventful season eight so far after losing her virginity to Gendry (Joe Dempsie) and killing the Night King and ending the Battle of Winterfell.

Meanwhile, fans fear the Battle of Winterfell may not be over after a shock character reveals himself as the real Night King.

Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) could be the true Night King and the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) was going to meet him to bend the knee to him.

Fans will have to wait to find out if Daenerys is the green-eyed person Arya is after.

Game of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO in the USA and the following day on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK.
