Inside Liverpool dressing room as footage shows how Reds celebrated historic Barcelona win

Only Anfield could have produced a night as special as that, a comeback that defied all logic as the Reds became the first team to overturn a 3-0 first-leg defeat in the history of the Champions League.

Liverpool, without Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, stunned Barcelona by winning 4-0 to reach the final in Madrid, leaving Lionel Messi and co. shellshocked.

Inside the home dressing room, Liverpool took the time to reflect on one of the best performances in the club’s history and the expression on some of their faces said all you needed to know.

In a video shared on Twitter by the club, Liverpool offered a unique behind the scenes look into their Champions League miracle.

Curtis Jones was seen embracing fellow born-and-bred Scouser Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was lauded as a hero after his genius assist for Divock Origi to net the winner for Liverpool.

The right-back then put his head in his hands while he took a moment to reflect, before turning to the camera and kissing the badge on his chest.

Mohamed Salah then walked into the dressing room, sporting a huge grin and black shirt which read ‘never give up.’

Roberto Firmino was with Alberto Moreno, also absent from the squad, smiling and enjoying the atmosphere.

While rap music blared out from the speakers, James Milner was sat topless drinking water. The veteran midfield run himself into the ground and looked shattered.

Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson and Rhian Brewster were enjoying themselves, singing along to Extra Luv by Future.

Dejan Lovren couldn’t resist busting some dance moves, alongside Brewster who had to wait to make his full first-team debut.

The Croatian then shouted down the camera “We’re coming!”

Jurgen Klopp said to his players before the game that a comeback against Barcelona would ordinarily be an impossible task, but because its them it’s possible.

“The whole game was too much. It was overwhelming,” he said. “We played against maybe the best team in world.

“Winning is difficult but winning with a clean sheet, I don’t know they did it. It’s unbelievable.

“I saw James Milner crying on the pitch after the game. It means so much to all of us.

“It’s the best phase of football. There are more important things in the world. But creating this emotional atmosphere together is so special. It’s all about the players.

“The mix of potential and unbelievable heart is just a mix I never saw before. You have to be confident in a game like this. Divock and [Xherdan] Shaqiri didn’t play a lot. Putting a performance in like that, it was so important. It shows what’s possible in football.”
