In a video uploaded to YouTube channel Gagare1952, a bright, oval object can be seen in the distance of the film. According to the uploader, the craft was spotted by his friend, who said it was landing pn the hills around the Wyoming-based supervolcano. The uploader said in the description of the video: “A massive type of a unidentified flying object was spotted by my friend Shawn who lives down at the Yellowstone National Park.
“He was baffled to see this metallic bright object landing.”
The sighting has some concerned that aliens could be about to cause the Yellowstone volcano to erupt.
A person by the name of Angela commented on the video: “Much too bright to be just anything. I was thinking recently that if Yellowstone erupts, it will be the fault of the aliens!”
However, others were unconvinced by the sighting, saying the supposed UFO looks too static to be genuine.
Benji B-side said: “No footage of it arriving or leaving? Could be genuine or it could be a reflection of the Sun.”
But, if the Yellowstone volcano were to erupt, it could spell the end of humanity.
The Yellowstone Caldera supervolcano last erupted 70,000 years ago but a spike in seismic activity around the national park has unsettled nerves.
An eruption could kill an estimated 87,000 people immediately and make two-thirds of the USA immediately uninhabitable.
The large spew of ash into the atmosphere would block out sunlight and directly affect life beneath it creating a “nuclear winter”.
The massive eruption could be a staggering 6,000 times as powerful as the one from Washington’s Mount St Helens in 1980 which killed 57 people and deposited ash in 11 different states and five Canadian provinces.
If the volcano explodes, a climate shift would ensue as the volcano would spew massive amounts of sulphur dioxide into the atmosphere, which can form a sulphur aerosol that reflects and absorbs sunlight.
