Kate Middleton flaunts nautical outfit as she joins Prince William for Kings Cup Regatta

Kate Middleton, 37, and Prince William, 36, had a lot to celebrate today with the arrival of their new nephew yesterday and also the launch of the King’s Cup Regatta at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, London. As the couple arrived at the event they sported beaming smiles and greeted supporters. The Duchess of Cambridge looked ready to sail today with the outfit she was wearing. Kate appeared in a cream and navy Breton striped with long sleeves and a crew neck.

She teamed this with a pair of high-waisted navy cropped trousers which featured four bright white buttons on the front.

Keeping with the navy theme, the Duchess wore a pair of suede, pointed-toe navy heels, and she then added a pop of colour with a small letter box red clutch bag.

Kate wore a pair of small drop diamond earrings with a dark-coloured crystal in the middle, and completed the look with some natural beachy waves in her hair.

Prince William decided to give the stripes a miss, but did match with his wife by opting to wear a navy-coloured suit.

Going for a more casual look, he added a pair of dark brown suede shoes an light blue shirt with the button undone.

The regatta will be hosted by William and Kate on August 9 on the Isle of Wight, and the couple will compete as the skippers of rival boats, part of an eight-strong field.

The King’s Cup will then be awarded to the winning team

Back in 2011, the Duke and his wife competed in a dragon boat race and William won.

But three years later, during their tour of New Zealand, Kate got her revenge and was crowned winner of another sailing event.

The eight boats taking part in the King’s Cup will each represent one of the charities being supported this year by the royal couple.
