Avengers Endgame streaming, download, DVD, Blu-ray release dates: When is the movie out?

The Marvel movie came out in movie theatres worldwide at the end of April, to the tune of $1.2 billion in its opening weekend alone.

Already it has become one of the Top 5 highest-grossing films of all time, now only $300 million short of eclipsing its predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War.

There’s little doubt that when it finally arrives on home video and digital download, it’ll be a hit all over again.

But when will that release actually come?

As things stand, there is no official release date – but it might be useful to use the release schedule of Infinity War as a guideline.

The digital download of that film, in the US, was July 31 – after it came out on the same weekend in 2018 as Endgame did in 2019.

It then landed on Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on August 14.

In the UK, it came slightly later: the DVD and Blu-ray followed on September 3.

The digital download was, as with the US, a little earlier, on August 20.

If Endgame follows the same timeline, it’ll be out in the UK digitally on August 19, and physically on September 2.

This is, of course, just an educated guess – and Marvel will announce the official details later in the year.

As for streaming, will Endgame make its way to the likes of Netflix and NowTV – just like Infinity War did?

Again, it’s hard to say – and this year there’s the added consideration that Disney is launching its own streaming service in Q4.

Disney+ arrives in the US on November 12, and it’s believed that Captain Marvel will be among its launch titles – perhaps indicating that Endgame will come later.

The service’s UK drop date is unknown at present, however – but it’s worth noting that Infinity War premiered on Sky Cinema on Christmas Day last year.

If Endgame is the same this year, it could well be streaming on the Movies section of NowTV thereafter.

Avengers: Endgame is in cinemas now.
