James Harden: Rockets star TROLLED by Warriors head coach Steve Kerr over foul calls

But Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was far from happy at Houston’s effort to steer the conversation from their series-opening win towards the officials.

Golden State won a closely fought Game 1 at home against Houston, with tempers flaring throughout the contest from Houston.

They were furious with the referees on a number of occasions where they felt they weren’t implementing the “landing space” rule.

James Harden and Chris Paul were both caught on attempted threes, only to have their protests waved away to their dismay.

Speaking after the game, Harden called out the officials.

“Call the game how it’s supposed to be called, and that’s it. And I’ll live with the results.”

But Kerr took a subtle dig at the reigning MVP during his media duties with reporters at practice on Monday.

The Warriors head coach started off the session by pretending to flop to the ground, flailing his arms aimlessly towards a reporter.

Speaking in a more serious tone though, Kerr thinks the Rockets were also fortunate to not be called up on a number of fouls.

“It’s disappointing, because the focus should be on two teams playing extremely hard,” Kerr said.

“We just watched the tape upstairs, and you don’t think there were 10 calls that we thought we got fouled?

“This is how it goes.

“It’s very, very difficult to officiate an NBA game.

“There’s a lot of grey area, and in the modern game, players have gotten really good at deception.”
