Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3: ‘Survival HORROR’ Director drops hint on Jon Snow fate

Game of Thrones’ Battle of Winterfell has been teased for a while and it’s nearly time for the highly-anticipated episode to air.

Many are wondering just how the likes of Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) are going to get out of this one alive.

Now, director of season eight, episode three, has opened up on what fans can expect from perhaps the biggest Game of Thrones episode to date.

With the stakes incredibly high, Miguel Sapochnik has teased what the tone of tomorrow night’s instalment will be like, considering he has previously directed huge episodes including Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the director divulged: “This is survival horror. That’s the whole episode for me.

“What we realised is you look at like Assault on Precinct 13 – movies where a group is under siege – usually there’s an ensemble cast and a central theme in there.

“So I’ve been trying to work out whose story this is. That’s different than the stuff I’ve done previously which was generally from Jon’s perspective.

“Here I’ve got some 20-some cast members and everyone would like it to be their scene.”

While remaining tight-lipped on what the outcome of the battle would be, Miguel’s suggestion that everyone would have their moment seems to hint at mass survival.

Should this be Jon’s final swan song, for example, it would likely be the case that he would be the central focus of the episode as he is such an A-rating character.

Furthermore, with every star poised to get a major scene in the episode, does this suggest the Winterfell warriors will win?

Meanwhile, spoiler pictures from the upcoming instalment seem to hint at Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) death.

The beloved youngster has risked death a lot throughout the series and it seems she is about to put her neck on the line once more.

In one image from the episode, Arya can be seen talking to Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and the latter has an incredibly worried countenance.

Another image suggests things aren’t looking good for the warrior as Sansa can be seen with tears in her eyes.
