Chris Evans has told fans of his Virgin Radio Breakfast Show his wife is quite particular about their living conditions. He said Natasha Shishmanian, 38, hates to sleep in a “chilly” bedroom, as he discussed the best methods of sleeping at night. Sharing tips with listeners, the radio DJ began: “To drop your core body temperature open a window or lower your thermostat to keep your bedroom at a cool 17 to 17 and a half.” Turning to his co-star Rachel Horn, he asked: “Rachel, I’m just going to ask you this: Do you mind the cold and chilly bedroom or not.”
Without hesitation, she replied: “I like a cold bedroom [and] I like the electric blanket on under the bed.”
“I like a warm bed but a cold atmosphere,” she continued.”
Rachel’s statement tickled the presenter, who laughed as she explained her ideal sleeping environment.
“Interesting, because my wife can’t stand a chilly bedroom and I say, ‘But it’s so good, it’s so healthy,” Chris added.
“But then she’s snoring by the time I’ve finished my sentence because she doesn’t have issues going to sleep.”
Earlier this week, the father-of-five revealed he and his wife do not sleep in the same bedroom and have rooms on separate floors.
Since welcoming twins, Boo and Walt, last year, Natasha has chosen to stay with the youngster in a room away from Chris.
Explaining the unusual living arrangement, Chris said it was her “genius” plan to have different bedrooms.
He said: “My wife sleeps on a different floor in a different bedroom with the twins. This is all her genius plan.
“Because she says there’s no point us both being dog tired cause we’ll end up, you know, biting each other’s head off every minute of every day.”
“It works perfectly,” the father-of-five declared. “She’s so good, you know my wife is so clever.”
Gushing about his other half, he added: “She could run the world quite easily in her sleep.
“Well at least better than most people who are paid to do that.”
The telly favourite previously said their current sleeping arrangements would only be temporary back in February.
At the time, he shared: “I have a separate bathroom to my wife on a separate floor now because she’s with the twins upstairs and I’m downstairs.
“That will all change soon, but right now that’s where we are and so I have my own toothpaste, she has her own toothpaste.”
