Bond 25 title and cast reveal TOMORROW and THIS Brit is favourite to replace Daniel Craig

An official announcement today revealed that major Bond 25 news will be announced tomorrow, Thursday, April 25. Daniel Craig is expected to attend the event and has been spotted in Jamaica, where Ian Fleming wrote most of the Bond books. As well as the movie’s long-hidden title, the event is expected to reveal the main cast. With the movie marking Craig’s farewell to the role, a fellow Brit is the hot favourite to step into his shoes.

This week also marks the worldwide launch of Avengers Endgame, with more than one star from the franchise closely linked to Bond rumours.

Idris Elba (who plays Heimdall) has been a firm favourite from the start, but Chris Hemsworth (Thor) recently announced his hopes to play Bond, while square-jawed Chris Evans (Captain America) attracted a flurry of bets late last year.

But it is a rather more villainous Marvel icon who is hotly tipped for Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Bookmaker Coral make Tom Hiddleston their 2-1 firm favourite to become the next James Bond.

The Loki star leads the pack, which currently stands at: 3-1 James Norton, 4-1 Idris Elba, 4-1 Tom Hardy, 6-1 Cillian Murphy, 16-1 Aidan Turner, 20-1 Michael Fassbender.

Hiddleston has been vying with Elba for the top spot since the release of SPECTRE, which had been expected to be Craig’s swan song.

The mixed reactions to the movie may have encouraged Craig to return one last time, in an attempt to seal his legacy in the role. It has also left well-known names hanging as teh film’s shooting and release dates kept pushing back.

Bond 25 is now scheduled for a release date on April 8 next year.

The major announcement tomorrow looks likely to take place in Jamaica, since the leading man is currently there for filming. The official announcement only hinted at an “iconic OO7 location”, but much of the classic Dr No and later outing Love and Let Die were filmed on the island.
