OnePlus 7 could be a major disappointment and here's why

OnePlus 7 is the next flagship device from the Chinese tech giant that has been rumoured to break away from tradition by releasing in multiple models.

In addition to the standard OnePlus 7, it has also been speculated two other devices dubbed the OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G are in the works.

The OnePlus 7 Pro has been tipped to make a legion of changes when compared to the OnePlus 6T.

Chief of these has been said to be the implementation of a pop-up selfie camera that could emerge from the top of the hardware.

Alleged renders of the handset recently surfaced thanks to case manufacturer Olixar that added further credence to such an idea.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

Appearing on Mobile Fun, the claimed photos appeared to show the design characteristic will allow the OnePlus 7 Pro to deliver an almost bezel-free screen experience for Android fans.

Teenage tipster Ishan Agarwal has also noted the OnePlus 7 Pro will come with a triple-camera system that could present a major photography improvement from the OnePlus 6T.

The 7 Pro was insisted to come with a main sensor in addition to a telephoto and ultra wide-angle system.

OnLeaks has iterated the Chinese tech giant’s more premium new flagship will also flaunt a colossal 6.64-inch screen.

However, it is not the size of the display that is most interesting here, the OnePlus 7 Pro’s panel has also been speculated to come with a 90hz refresh rate.

If true, the alleged hardware could provide a much smoother experience when navigating through its user interface than most other smartphones that have a 60hz refresh rate.

A measurement in hz refers to how many times a screen refreshes every second; the higher the number the smoother the device will feel overall.

OnePlus founder and CEO, Pete Lau, has hinted such a feature could be set to debut.

Teasing the device on Twitter, he said: “Excited to share the next product from OnePlus will unleash a new era of Fast and Smooth.

“Especially Smooth! Smooth is more challenging than Fast – a true test of hardware and software.

“The new product is just beautiful – I can’t wait for you to see it!”

Lau also recently confirmed OnePlus will announce its next “launch event”, on Tuesday April 23 that is assumed to be regarding its next series of smartphones.

While the OnePlus 7 Pro has been rumoured to receive numerous substantial upgrades from the OnePlus 6T, it appears the standard OnePlus 7 may miss out on a score of new functionality in what would surely be a major disappointment to myriad Android fans.

Pricebaba, in collaboration with OnLeaks, recently posted claimed renders of the standard OnePlus 7 that was shown looking extremely reminiscent of the OnePlus 6T thanks to its similar teardrop-shaped notch and dual camera system.

OnLeaks has stated the OnePlus 7 will come with an upgraded main camera sensor that is 48-megapixels.

Moreover, the standard OnePlus 7 has also been rumoured to arrive with a 6.4-inch screen, a size that is incredibly similar to the 6.41-inch panel present on its predecessor.

Although the OnePlus 7 has been tipped to miss out on a swathe of design changes that are alleged to feature on the OnePlus 7 Pro, the hardware is expected to come with refreshed internal components in the form of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855.

While rumours and leaks have been extremely prominent surrounding the OnePlus 7, it is worth noting nothing about the hardware has been officially confirmed by the Chinese OEM.
