The Chase favourite, 58, has son Barney Walsh with Donna Derby, whom he married in 1997. Back in 2016, Bradley Walsh spoke out about his family life and his role in relationships. Asked what he brings, the presenter told Huffington Post: “I try to bring love, stability and reliability. And a shoulder to cry on, or a shoulder to lean on.”
Bradley went on to praise his wife Donna and his family with keeping him grounded, saying: “My wife especially [does]. Without a shadow of a doubt.”
Meanwhile, The Chase host Bradley Walsh also revealed the promise he made his wife in the past.
“I promised my wife years ago, my wife bought me a Christmas present and that was to go on the Orient Express, because Murder On The Orient Express is one of my all-time favourite old films,” he explained.
“And my wife bought me this ticket, and I was so thrilled, but life just got so busy.
“So, I have to go on the Orient Express,” he added.
Elsewhere, Bradley has credited his wife Donna with helping propel his career by urging him to take on the part of Danny Baldwin in Coronation Street, which he went on to play for two-and-a-half years.
“It’s because of her I signed with Coronation Street,” he told The Mirror in 2006.
“She’s the one who recognised what it could do for me even though it would mean being apart.”
Gushing about his other half, the former Corrie star said: “I wouldn’t swap my missus for the world.
“Donna isn’t just beautiful, she’s the most fantastic wife and mother.”
Donna works as a choreographer for the Miss World pageant and previously starred in the 1988 music video for Robert Palmer’s 1988 music video for Simply Irresistible.
Her dance career also boasts appearances on The Kenny Everett Show and The Russ Abbot Show.
In addition to acting in Coronation Street from 2004 until 2006, Bradley has also had roles in Law & Order: UK and The Sarah Jane Adventures.
Last year, he took on the part of one of Jodie Whittaker’s 14th Doctor’s three companions in Doctor Who.
He has become a family favourite hosting The Chase since the ITV quiz show first aired in 2009.
Tonight, a brand new team of four members of the public will take on the Chaser under the watchful eye of Bradley as they bid to take home a cash prize.
