I think EA can be trusted provided they take a step back and let respawn make the game they want to make and allow respawn to reap the rewards of that decision. Similar to how Activision took a hands off approach with Sekiro, and the game benefited from it.
The publishers need to trust the devs to do their thing, I know it won’t always make as much money as shoving microtransactions into everything, but it will win good rep which will lead to better sales down the line.
