Emmerdale teen Jacob (played by Joe-Warren Plant) has lost complete control in his relationship with Maya (Louisa Clein) as in the long-awaited moment Liv (Isobel Steele) finally discovered the pair in bed together.
Maya has tried all manner of ways to get Liv to keep quiet on the ITV soap following the horrifying moment she realised Jacob was cheating on her with his teacher.
Unfortunately for the twisted groomer Liv has experienced something similar for her own evil father Gordie, who abused her before sent down to prison for 18 years.
She called Maya out on the scheming antics, saying “she nearly believed her” in tonight’s faux-emotional scene, and demanded £5,000.
Processing the aftermath, Jacob will realise he needs to nip Liv in the bud before his lover gets in trouble, and resorts to unusual methods to do so.
The 16-year-old teenager has been slowly groomed for months by Maya, to the point where he would hurt his own father David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and girlfriend Liv without a care for their feelings.
Maya reasoned all their decisions were to protect their forbidden relationship, and convinced him they were in love.
Viewers know Maya will surely receive her comeuppance in the coming months on the ITV soap, but there is plenty more drama to come before that.
Liv has an ace up her sleeve, as she recorded Jacob’s confession on her mobile phone, with him none the wiser tonight.
But as the student played it back in her cottage, it seemed she was considering exactly how to handle the proof.
Will she get to the police in time? Or will Jacob get to her first?
Maya and Jacob were shaken by the events with Liv, but safe in the knowledge Liv had no real evidence to get Maya into trouble.
How wrong they are – is it finally time for the police to cart Maya off in a pair of handcuffs?
Next week’s episodes will see Jacob doing all he can to keep Liv from telling anyone about him and Maya – and it could lead to some dangerous sequences for the youngsters.
