Chris Evans has admitted he sometimes thinks about departing Virgin Radio during a conversation on his breakfast show. Speaking to songstress Louise Redknapp, the 53-year-old radio DJ described what the atmosphere was like on his last day at BBC Radio 2. “We finished working at the other place just before Christmas and that was very emotional,” he began. “It was wonderful, it was actually very joyous even though it was upsetting as well but it was a really joyous and overall positive thing.”
He then revealed he has had thoughts about his last show on Virgin Radio, adding: “But I am already thinking about our last show – hopefully it’s not anytime soon.
“But I do think about it ‘cause we’re safe now because we’re at the beginning of the next chapter of the end.”
Referring to her West End show, 9 to 5: The Musical, Louise agreed: “I would do it constantly but you know what it’s like, I got children and it’s the summer holidays.
“I mean, I would stay there for myself, I would stay doing it as long as they’d have me but I’ve got two boys.”

Chris, who is a father of five, agreed with Louise and insisted she is lucky to have “the best of both worlds”.
The duo later went on to discuss the singer’s split from Jamie Redknapp, who she was married to for 19 years until 2017.
Louise insisted she and the retired footballer share the responsibilities of raising their two sons Charlie, 15, and Beau, 10.
She explained how she watches over the kids on the weekend, as her ex-husband is a football pundit and normally works on Saturday and Sunday.
The former Eternal singer recently opened up about returning to the music scene, following her stint on the BBC series Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.
Discussing her comeback with You Magazine last month, she said: “I just didn’t think it would ever happen for me.”
She added: “I am pleased I did Strictly, because without it I think I wouldn’t have had the courage. Any woman who’s hit her 40s will understand that.
“But I don’t blame Jamie. I wish, three years ago, I’d been able to just speak up. For a long time it was easy to blame him.”
Last week, Louise released her new music video for her track ‘Stretch’ and shared a sizzling picture of herself draped on a male model.
Posting a shot of her with model Tiaan Kotze to her Instagram Story, she captioned the saucy image: “To the main man @tiaank07 on the set of my new video, Stretch!”
In the photograph the hunky model, who hid his muscular body behind hers for the snap, is seen smouldering as Louise looked off into the distance.
