Kit Harington: Game of Thrones star ready for fight as he is caught in boxing ring in NY

Kit Harington, 32, seemed to be making the most out his time in the Big Apple as he visited a boxing gym and took a class earlier this week.

Showing off his skills, the Game of Thrones favourite threw accurate punches and took swings at a large punching bag.

Kit, who wore a pair of grey shorts and white top for his work out, showed off his toned physique as he exercised.

It appeared the British star already knew a thing or two about boxing, having appeared in many fighting scenes as Jon Snow in the HBO series.

The actor’s character is constantly involved in tense battles and sword fights, in his attempt to protect his beloved North.

On Wednesday, Kit slipped into his best evening wear as he attended the premiere of Game of Thrones season eight in New York.

The Jon Snow star opted for an all-black suit, complete with a high-neck top, for the occasion.

Kit posed on the red carpet with his spouse and former co-star, Rose Leslie, where Emilia Clarke was also in attendance.

The actress starred as Jon Snow’s love-interest, Ygritte, in the show until the wildling got killed off in season four.

Rose ensured she stood out on the night in a stunning, bright red frock which fell to the floor.

The 32-year-old’s mesmerising gown featured a one-shoulder design and see-through panels.

Rose completed the look with black strappy high-heels and styled her locks into a neat updo.

At the premiere, Kit and Rose revealed they were “tethered” by Game of Thrones, having met back in 2011 whilst filming season two.

Kit told Entertainment Tonight: “I said to Rose the other night, I was like, ‘We’ve been tethered by this show, a long time we’ve loved it’.

“And now we get to enjoy the final hurrah.”

Kit admitted it already feels like Game of Thrones is in the past, although the final season hasn’t aired yet.

The star revealed he and his co-stars plus the crew have bid farewell to the show after filming ended.

He told the American publication: “In some ways, it has ended for us.

“When we finished filming, we said goodbye to it, so this sort of feels like an added bonus that we get to watch it and celebrate it now.”

Game of Thrones season 8 returns April 14 on HBO in the US, and the next day on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
