Lucifer season 4 spoilers: New ‘LEAKED’ poster teases release date coming soon?

Season four has been teased by Netflix for some time after they rescued the show after it was cancelled by Fox last year after three seasons.

Lucifer fans are desperately waiting for a release date and the release of this poster may just signal its imminent announcement.

The poster shows Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) half in darkness and half in the light with horns on his head.

The inclusion of horns caused some fans much amusement after he has previously stated he hates them, with one Reddit fan saying: “Pretty funny since he said in season one that he hated the horns/ everyone got them wrong. Nice poster though, can’t wait!”

Fans also took to Twitter to reveal their excitement, as one user tweeted: “I’ve never seen this poster before!!! HUGE chance this might be one of the season four promotional posters. Holy s**t.”

Another added: “OH MY GOSH! New Lucifer poster on Netflix Italy – and Tom looks AMAZING. Maybe it’s already one for season four??”

Fans are awaiting further details of new the season, but it has been revealed that romance will be a large part of season four.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, lead actor Tom teased details of a romance for Lucifer and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) despite the shocking season three finale.

Speaking about the potential storyline, he said: “Chloe and Lucifer’s relationship, I think it’s the heartbeat of the show.”

The pair’s romance is not the only season four romance teased with Maze star Lesley-Ann Brandt revealing her character is to find love finally.

Lesley-Ann told TVLine: “Maze does fall in love this season. Season three explored what relationships and friendships feel like and how you can be let down and makeup, while season four is now about her finding her someone.”

This is coming from a character who once claimed: “Demons don’t get sad, they get mad.”

Fans can look forward to seeing a different side to one of their favourite characters.

Good news for fans in the UK is they will no longer have to wait until after the US air date to catch up on their favourite series.

Netflix will likely upload five episodes at a time and spilt the ten-episode season in half.

The series was revived after a strong fan campaign to get it reinstated after it was controversially axed by Fox.

The Twitter campaign under #SaveLucifer picked up so much momentum that Netflix felt like it could not turn the opportunity down.

Lucifer’s Tom Ellis told RadioTimes.com at the time: “The outpouring of love for the show has mirrored how I’ve felt about it. The response has spurred me on to at least go, ‘Ok, well I’m going to go and take part in these conversations.’”

Showrunner Joe Henderson added: “They really noticed it. The fans were heard, and that’s the biggest thing that we should convey.

“They saw the passion of the fans, and apparently a number of people over there just like the show.”

The new season air date has yet to be revealed.

Lucifer season four will stream on Netflix in 2019.
