Vikings season 6 spoilers: Ivar the Boneless star teases MAJOR change in 'LEAKED' snap

Vikings fans are keen to find out what will happen in the sixth and final series. Now, it seems a huge spoiler may have been revealed in a “leaked” snap.

A photo shared online shows the star with a full-grown beard and long hair as he resumes his role as Ivar the Boneless in the hit History channel show.

The usually smart, clean-shaven actor is unrecognisable in the role and fans were shocked by the look.

The Ivar star is joined by Bjorn actor Alexander Ludwig and looks as though they are about to go into battle with each other.

Ivar was last seen departing Kattegat after being usurped as king and will arrive in Russia in the future series.

Showrunner Michael Hirst previously confirmed to Express.co.uk the show will go to Russia next: “We go to a new place again. We’re going to Rus, which is Kiev, and the Rus Vikings.”

With Lagertha (Kathryn Winnick) waiting in the wings to see her son fight Ivar, the son of her late husband Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel), anything could happen.

Meanwhile, fans have begun to speculate what could happen in the new series.

A brand new image has supposedly been leaked which shows off a funeral pyre for a fallen Viking – but is it Lagertha?

Furthermore, the image may have revealed another time jump for the historical show, as characters seem to look older.

The image, which has been posted online, focuses on a number of characters including Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) and Torvi (Georgia Hirst).

The pair, and a number of other characters, are stood staring at a funeral boat before it is engulfed in flames.

However Torvi and Ubbe look a little older than they were left in season five.

They are also accompanied by a young child, who looked like she had aged as well.

Could this be a reveal of a time-jump in the coming episodes?

Fans are impatient for their favourite series to resume and have taken to Twitter to express their frustration.

One Twitter user said: “Drop season six of Vikings already wtf.”

Another added: “Desperately waiting for Vikings season six.”

Fans will have to wait to see Ivar The Boneless in action and see his dramatically changed appearance.

Vikings season 6 is due to arrive on History and Amazon Prime Video later on this year.
