Avengers Endgame: Chris Evans in TEARS over Captain America DEATH? ‘I choked up 3 times’

The Marvel epic isn’t released for another month, but Captain America star Chris Evans has been lucky enough to watch the first hour. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, he revealed: “Uh, it’s — I mean — it’s a good one. It’s a real good one. I saw, like, the first hour of it. Man.This one’s really good. I choked up like three times.” The star also confirmed that the first edit of Avengers Endgame is over three hours long.

When asked if he cried over Captain America’s death, he joked: “Right It’s hard. Seeing my own death.

“It’s going to be a long movie, that’s for sure. The first edit clocked in over three hours. My funeral’s like an hour.”

The outlet also jokingly asked if he only watched the first hour, as that’s the point Cap died.

Carrying on with deadpan humour, Evans said “Right, exactly. After I die by Tony’s hand, I just said, You know what? I can’t watch this.”

Fans may think Evans is playing with fire, but having completed Avengers Endgame and left the franchise, it’s not like he’ll be in trouble with Marvel.

Even so, Captain America’s death could be on the cards if the survivors are going to bring back those who died in Thanos’ Snap.

Speaking with Variety, the Russos teased that the resurrection of the dead will come at “an incredibly high cost.”

Anthony said: “I will say this: There is a real commitment on our end to the stakes.”

He added: “Yes, this is a fantasy world, and yes, remarkable things can happen in a fantasy world, but…”

Joe finished for him: “They come at an incredibly high cost.”

Nevertheless, with time travel expected in Avengers Endgame, we’re hoping that Captain America will end up taking Peggy Carter to that dance he promised her.

Avengers Endgame will be released in UK cinemas on April 25, 2019.
