The former football manager, 72, spoke out about Jamie Redknapp’s single status on Heart Breakfast this morning. Asked how the 45-year-old was adapting to single life after finalising his divorce from Louise Redknapp, 44, at the end of 2017, Harry Redknapp said: “I dunno. I’ll leave it to his mum. She asks him them questions, I don’t get involved.” Host Jamie Theakston, 48, who is good friends with Jamie and Louise, asked: “Do you not have like relationship advice between the two of you?”
“No, I sort of try to avoid it,” Harry replied. “I just let him get on with it. What can I do now you know?
“I know he tells to him mum about things,” he added.
Appearing to hint Jamie was still single, he told the presenter: “I say, ‘What is he up to, anything?’ ‘No.’ She won’t tell me.”
Harry once again reiterated his fondest for Louise, who was married to Jamie for 19 years before their split.
“I love Lou and was sad when it all went wrong,” he said. “I really was.
“Me and Sandra [Harry’s wife] absolutely loved her and her mum is still great — she knows Sandra talks to her mum all the time, Lynne — she’s lovely.
“It was sad, but that’s life, innit? What can you do?” he added. “These things happen don’t they?”(sic)
