Tesla Model Y live stream – How to watch the new car unveiling today

Tesla Model Y will launch today on March 14th at 8pm PDT, which is 3am GMT on March 15th.

The new car is being unveiled at an event live from the Tesla Design Studio in Hawthorne, California.

It is the sister vehicle to the Model 3, in the same way, the Model X is to the Model S.

The compact SUV/crossover will share a lot of the same DNA, styling, and parts as the Model 3 but have a different body and larger proportions.

Tesla will be live streaming the entire launch event live from its website.

Ahead of the event taking place, the car firm has provided a link on the car website which asks drivers if they want to be notified when the live stream launches.

If you want to watch the live stream you should click the ‘Notify Me’ button and fill in your name, email and phone number.

Tesla will then email name you ahead of the event with a link to the live stream.

Model Y will share 75 per cent of its parts with the Model 3 and will likely be built at Gigafactory 1 in Nevada.

Company CEO Elon Musk shared some details about the car’s pricing and specs ahead of the event.

“Model Y, being an SUV, is about 10 per cent bigger than Model 3, so will cost about 10 per cent more & have slightly less range for same battery,” he said.

“Detailed specs & pricing will be provided, as well as test rides in Y.”

The car will, therefore, cost upwards of around $38,000 and between 200-280-miles of range on a single charge.

Full details of the car’s price and specs are to be confirmed when the car launches.
