James Jordan: 'I can't even begin' Dancing On Ice winner speaks of 'downside' to the show

Dancing On Ice winner James Jordan, 40, won the trophy alongside professional figure skater Alexandra Schauman, 38, last night, but despite the smiles on camera, the dancer admitted his journey wasn’t all plain sailing. James took to his Instagram today to speak about his win and revealed the process was difficult because he missed his wife Ola, 33. The former Strictly Come Dancing professional shared a picture of him and Alex holding their trophy with a lengthy caption. In view of his 149,000 followers, he began: “THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!

I can’t even begin to tell you how much last night meant to myself and @alex_lukasz to win @dancingonice has been one of the highlights of my life.

“I’m actually for once very proud of myself. The biggest win for me was all the support we have received throughout the show.

“Without your support and votes it would not have been possible, so I thank you again.

“The whole DOI team were amazing. Also the support from the pros and celebs was totally overwhelming.

“What an amazing experience, made even better because of my pro @alex_lukasz who is a superstar!”

James went on to say he will now rest up and support Ola on Poland’s Dancing With The Stars.

He continued: “I now need to rest my body a bit and now support @olajordan in her judging adventures on Dancing With The Stars in Poland.

“The only downside of the show was I hardly saw Ola. I still can’t believe what just happened! Love you all.”

James also shared his favourite snap from last night’s show which sees him looking up at Alex, who was holding the trophy.

He wrote: “This is one of my favourite pictures from last night.

“I never won as a pro on Strictly but was over the moon I could help @alex_lukasz win on @dancingonice. She should be very proud of herself.”

James skated in the intense final against Wes Nelson, 21, and Vanessa Bauer, with the latter finishing in second place.

During his time on the show, James revealed he and Ola are “fed up” with being asked when they are going to have children.

The couple, who married in 2003, told Hello! Magazine they have undergone IVF treatment and have been trying for a baby for the past two years.

Revealing all, James told The Sun: “We opened up about it because we were getting fed up of people asking us when we were having kids.

He added: “We have been for some meetings for IVF with specialists to assess the situation.

“We’ll do it in due course. I can’t wait to be a dad.”
