James Jordan and his wife Ola Jordan's first appearance on Strictly Come Dancing

James Jordan, who is hotly tipped to win ITV’s Dancing on Ice on Sunday night, is most well-known for his time on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 40-year-old professional ballroom dancer first shot to fame when he joined the cast of the BBC show with his wife Ola Jordan back in 2006.

The dancing duo, who have been married since 2003, appeared in the fourth series of the show competing against each other for the first time.

During their very first series, English dancer James was paired with Casualty actress Georgina Bouzova while his wife danced with DJ Spoony.

Pictures from their first foray into live television, show a fresh-faced and clean-shaven James with slightly longer locks in a racy red latin outfit.

He performed the Rumba – the dance of love, to Let’s Get It On with his celebrity partner but the pair found themselves in the bottom two.

Ola danced the Cha-Cha-Cha to Kiss with her partner in a barely-there pink number which left little to the imagination.

Her sexy performance impressed the audience and judges alike but their Tango the follow week saw the husband and wife competitors go head-to-head in the bottom two with Ola and DJ Spoony leaving the competition.

The married couple went on to became firm fan favourites on the show partly due James’ fiery confrontations with the judges and Ola’s sexy costumes.

Since leaving Strictly in 2013 James has appeared in numerous reality TV shows including Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Coach Trip while Ola spent time in the Australian jungle for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

James is hoping that tonight will be his night when he goes up against Love Island’s Wes Nelson and X Factor’s Saara Aalto in the Dancing On Ice final.
