Britain’s Got Talent 2019: Ant and Dec return in first look trailer – but there's a twist

Britain’s Got Talent will be returning to television screens later this year when the nation will be entertained with the finest UK talent.

Ahead of the new series starting, ITV have released a teaser trailer to get the fans excited.

The short clip begins with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly taking on a more unusual role.

With several circus performers warming up and rehearsing, Dec commands their attend by tapping his conducting wand on his stand.

As he begins, his enthusiasm gets the better of him and he ends up flinging his wand off the stage.

Luckily, co-host Ant is there to pic it up for him and the part pick up from where they left off.

As they continue to conduct the mayhem in the hall, the judges each come into view one by one.

Amanda Holden is helping saw an opera lady in half, and as the music comes to a climax, David Walliams enters wearing a white ensemble with two symbols in his hands.

Just in time he crashes them together but much to the dissatisfaction of co-star Alesha Dixon who presses the red button.

But this doesn’t dishearten the cheeky judge as he smashes the symbols once more.

As everyone ups the ante for a dramatic ending, a golden buzzer is conjured via magic into the room and Simon Cowell is seen pressing it.

As the gold confetti falls from the sky the show comes to a end.

A voice over is the heard announcing the shows comeback: “More talent that you can shake a stick at. Britain’s Got Talent returns this April on ITV.”

The multiple award-winning series promises to be jam packed with more talented (and perhaps not so talented) folk all competing for a spot in the Royal Variety Performance and £250,000 in prize money.

With the auditions seemingly wrapped up, it won’t be long until it is back on television screens.

Fans were very happy to find out the show was returning sooner than everyone thought and many replied to Britain’s Got Talent’s official Twitter account with their thoughts.
One said: “@BGT I hope you have some great acts! It gets better every year!”
