Piers Morgan claims Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid was ‘living a lie’ before romance

Piers Morgan has spoken out about Susanna Reid’s romance with Steven Parish, 53, revealing he is nothing like the “dream bloke” she had told him she wanted to be with. The Good Morning Britain presenter insisted his co-star’s current beau could not be further from the ideal partner she once described to him. Discussing what the journalist had been looking for in a man, he explained: “She always told me her dream bloke was 6ft 2in, tattooed, ex-military. “Steve is none of those, so she was living a lie. But it’s uncanny.”

“He’s 53 – same age as me – and a big fan of a London football club, same as me,” the broadcaster added.

Susanna, 48, who joined Piers for an interview with Weekend magazine, quipped: “And you were taken, so…”

The duo spoke with the publication prior to covering the 91st Academy Awards in Los Angeles, California.

Piers was particularly vocal about the attendees attire and publicly mocked a few celebrities on social media.

On the night, the father-of-four blasted both Billy Porter and Linda Cardellini’s outfit of choice.

Joking about Billy’s unusual ensemble, Piers shared a picture of the American stage performer’s outfit on Twitter.

Alongside an image of the star, he told his 6.55 million followers: “Am I allowed to say this looks absolutely ridiculous? #BillyPorter #Oscars #RedCarpet.”

Billy, 49, walked the red carpet in a bold tuxedo dress, with a billowing skirt and full train.

The flamboyant ensemble resembled a Victorian garment with its svelte bodice and frilled sleeves.

His extravgant get-up also had a large bow tie and velvet collar on the blazer, as well as lining under the corset.

Meanwhile, Linda donned a ruffled gown, which split in the middle to reveal her toned pins and elegant footwear.

Also, her bright pink frock had a plunging neckline and a ribbon belt was tied around her waist to accentuate her figure.

Linda, 43, wore the unique attire with pride and gladly stopped to be pictured by the paparazzi.

However, Piers was not a fan of her look and he even likened the dress to a bird.

Beside a picture of the Hollywood actress, he simply wrote: “Bird apocalypse. #Oscars.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
