Crufts 2019 is coming up in a fortnight and will see dog owners compete for fame and glory in the landmark dog show. The annual event will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham this year. Tickets will be available for people to watch the show live but for those who are unable to pay or make the trip, the whole show will be televised live on Channel 4. Last year, the show was presented by veteran presenter Claire Balding live from the NEC, accompanied by Alan Carr and ‘Supervet’ Noel Fitzpatrick.

When is Crufts 2019?

Crufts debuts in just two weeks, with an official start date of March 7, 2019.

The show takes place across three days, in which other competitions and finals will take place before the Championship final on the last day.

How can you get tickets for Crufts 2019?

Anyone can visit Crufts to watch the competition by buying a general admission ticket from the Crufts official website.

The tickets offer access to the show from 8.15am until 6.30pm, where visitors can see everything Crufts has to offer.

But people who buy into general admission won’t have access to the Best in Show Programme – which starts at 2pm on Sunday, March 10 – as it requires an additional ticket.

Tom Mather, Crufts Chairman, believes this year’s show will be worth the watch.

He said: “Crufts offers something for everyone and this year looks like being no exception.

“Visitors to the show will be able to see dogs and their handlers taking part in a variety of activities and displays and we would urge anyone looking to buy a puppy to visit the ever-popular Discover Dogs area where they will be able to meet the breeds up close.

“We feel honoured to welcome dogs from a wider variety of breeds than ever before, representing all corners of the globe.

“The fact that people travel far and wide to enter this prestigious event proves that it really is the world’s greatest dog show.”
