Tesco drops Galaxy S9 and Note 9 prices ahead of Galaxy S10 release date

The Galaxy S10 was announced last week and with this phone set to launch in the coming weeks and that means prices for the current S9 continue to tumble.

There’s already been numerous price cuts with stores such as Argos and Currys reducing the cost of the S9 to under £550.

Now Tesco Mobile is joining the party with a big Samsung sale that offers both the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 at a lower cost.

These new offers mean Samsung fans can get the Galaxy S9 for just £26.75 per month or the Galaxy Note 9 for £36.49 per month – its lowest ever price.

The Galaxy S9 deal includes 1GB of data, 5000 minutes and 5000 texts with the Note 9 featuring 2GB of data, 5000 minutes and 5000 texts.

Those wanting the bigger S9+, Tesco is also offering this larger phone for as little as £29.49 a month, with 1GB of data, 5000 minutes and 5000 texts.

Although these deals are cheap it’s worth noting that to get the lowest price you will need to sign up to a 36-month contract so make sure you want to keep the device for that long before hitting the buy button.

It’s also worth remembering why the Galaxy S9 is getting discounted.

On March 8, Samsung will release the all-new Galaxy S10 to the world with this phone arriving packed with new features including an improved edge-to-edge screen, faster processor and triple rear camera which can bring better zoom and the ability to shoot images with an ultra wide-angle lens.

Owners of the S10 will also be treated to an embedded fingerprint scanner under the display and a technology which allows the other phones and accessories to wireless charge when placed against this new Samsung flagship.

Prices for the standard S10 start from £799 with the S10 Plus costing £899.

Samsung is also launching a cheaper version of its flagship called the S10e which doesn’t feature the curved display or have a triple rear camera.

The S10e costs £669.
