Simon Rimmer: Sunday Brunch co-host drops saucy BOMBSHELL live on air

Simon Rimmer, 55, and his co-presenter Tim Lovejoy, 50, were joined by an expert to discuss the history of lighthouses and their circular shape. But the conversation took a bizarre turn after talk moved onto bedrooms and the chef spoke about his own interior design thoughts. After the expert told the hosts all furniture in a lighthouse is round, Simon chuckled: “That’s actually made me really happy.” To which Tim replied: “What circular beds? Like the one you’ve got.”

The TV chef smiled and jokingly agreed: “Yes of course.”

Tim then added: “With the black silk sheets,” as Simon interjected, motioning to the ceiling: “Yes, and the high mirrors.”

It seemingly appeared the cook had gone to far with his cheeky chat as Tim bellowed: “No Simon!”

Noticeably tickled by the saucy tales of his supposed bedroom fixtures, the TV chef quipped: “Where were we?” which was met with laughter in the studio.

Meanwhile, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has opened up on his relationship with his former co-stars Mollie King and Gemma Atkinson.

The TV star appeared on the BBC series in 2017 and was partnered with pro dancer Karen Clifton.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, he said: “I’m great friends with Gemma and Mollie.

“She’s always been known as my second daughter. My actual daughter calls Mollie her sister and has done for years.”

He added: “I’ve known Mollie for a long time so she’s become a really really close friend.”

Despite only making it through to week six of the dancing competition, he admitted the contestants have remained “close” following the show and he is friends with Karen.

But said he felt “cheated on” when he saw her perform in last year’s series with Holby City’s Charles Venn.

He said: “But then you see them dancing with someone else and you feel like they’re cheating on you!

“The first time I saw Karen [Clifton] having little private jokes with Charles [Venn], I was thinking, how dare you? I thought I was special.”

Simon added: “I’m still friends with Karen – I speak to her on a really regular basis.”

The Channel 4 favourite has been a regular feature on Sunday Brunch since 2012.

Sunday Brunch airs at the weekend on Channel 4 at 9.30am.
