Who won The Greatest Dancer tonight?

Ellie Ferguson was named the first-ever Greatest Dancer winner tonight.

They were mentored by Oti Mabuse, making them the winning judge.

Ellie, who was the only solo performer in the competition, said on winning the show: “It’s been the most amazing experience of my life.”

“And I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s support so thank you.”

HOW DOES THE GREATEST DANCER WORK?

Winning judge Oti added: “It’s been all her it’s got nothing to do with me.

“She just came out here every single week and did her best and Ellie you are so deserving of this.”

On The Greatest Dancer final, each of the four acts danced with their mentors before one got voted out.

James and Oliver were eliminated, leaving KLA, Ellie Ferguson and Harry and Eleiyah as the top three.

WILL CHERYL RETURN TO THE GREATEST DANCER?

In the final, the winner performed with Oti for her first dance to Never Enough and then recreated her first audition dance.

The winners will now perform as a special guest on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

However, the BBC has not yet revealed when The Greatest Dancer winners will appear during the 2019 season’s run.

Prior to The Greatest Dancer final, Cheryl had been the bookies’ favourite to be named the winning judge.

Coral offered odds of 4/6 of the Promise This singer being the top judge.

WHERE IS THE GREATEST DANCER FILMED?

Her act Harry and Eleiyah had previously scored 97 percent of viewers’ votes in the semi-finals and have been a fan favourite throughout the show.

Harry Aitkenhead of Coral said of their chances of winning: “Harry and Eleiyah were sensational last weekend and their 97% last weekend means it would be a surprise if they weren’t crowned the winners of the show.

“That puts Cheryl on the brink of being the winning captain of the first ever Greatest Dancer and she’s odds on to do just that in our book, at odds of just 4-6.”
