There’s been a lot of drama on Coronation Street of late, and it looks like it won’t let up any time soon.
Corrie fans have already been made aware that the Underworld roof will collapse in upcoming scenes.
It’s even been hinted that someone might be seriously injured, and potentially even killed due to the roof collapsing.
After tonight’s episode, it looks like builder Gary Windass (played by Mickey North) might be blamed for the incident.
In tonight’s episode, Gary spoke to Carla Connor (Alison King) at the Weatherfield factory.
She was asking him to look at the roof, and he told her that he would have to come back with a ladder so that he could take a better look.
Should he end up taking the job, there’s a strong possibility that he might end up doing a shoddy job.
There could be many factors as to why he won’t be able to do his best work on the roof.
The main reason would be because he’s starting to take too many jobs on after having serious money issues.
However, he could end up deciding to use cheap materials to cut costs because of his difficult financial situation.
It’s already been suggested that Gary and Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) will be blamed for the accident.
The Sun recently reported that the pair would be two of the main suspects as it’ll become clear that the collapse wasn’t an accident.
It’s been suggested that the police will set their sights on Nick after they discover that the roof was sabotaged.
The collapse will then suspected to be part of an insurance scam, and Nick has a track record in this area.
Gary will also make himself a suspect when he mysteriously goes missing for a bit after a character’s killed as a result of the roof collapse.
