Susan Boyle keeps it casual as she waits for bus in hometown after AGT defeat

The 57-year-old showcased her vocal talents in the final earlier this week by singing her rendition of the Les Miserables tune which first made her famous at her first audition for Britain’s Got Talent 10 years ago. However, having received the Golden Buzzer which shot her straight into the final, Susan Boyle failed to make it into the top five, with magician Shin Lim, 27, being crowned the champion of champions. Following her defeat, the singer returned home to Scotland and was pictured looking casual out and about earlier today. Susan could be seen dressing down in a khaki tracksuit for the outing.

Pairing the loungewear with a black jacket and practical flats, she wrapped up warm with a cosy hat with pom poms on the top.

Susan looked to be in high spirits, despite admitting she was “disappointed” not to win America’s Got Talent.

Her brown hair was left loose in a simple down ‘do and she appeared to go make-up-free.

The multi-platinum-selling artist was snapped waiting for a bus in a bus stop in Blackburn.

Susan is worth an estimated £22 million and has garnered two Grammy Award nominations since she rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

The Scottish star narrowly missed out on winning the ITV reality series to dance troupe Diversity.

After Britain’s Got Talent, she released her first album, which became the fastest-selling debut in the UK at the time, selling 411,820 copies in the first week.

Her net worth includes earnings from six studio albums to date, including her second release which is said to have earned £1.8 million.

Susan also starred in The Christmas Candle alongside Hans Matheson, 43, Samantha Barks, 28, Sylvester McCoy, 75, and Lesley Manville, 62, in 2013.

The drama earned over £1.5 million on box office.

With her earnings after Britain’s Got Talent, Susan bought a five-bedroom detached house in Blackburn but found it to be too posh for her liking.

She later moved back to the former council house where she grew up and her niece now lives in the “plush” pad.

Following her defeat in the final of America’s Got Talent, Susan told People: “Of course, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed, but also deep down I didn’t think I would win.

“Secretly you hold out hope that you might because that’s what drives you to do your best in a competition.

“I’ve never really considered myself a champion,” she added.

“I’m just me, Susan Boyle.

“I’m so fortunate to have a great career to go back to.”

Susan is set to release her new album, TEN, later this year.
