Fortnite season 8: Shock patch notes news ahead of season 8 release date

Fortnite season 8 is on the horizon, and as the big release date approaches fans have been dealt shock patch notes news.

Fortnite season 8 is set to begin next week, with the release date likely to be February 28.

While Epic Games has not confirmed the Fortnite season 8 release date, they have revealed the season 7 end date.

Season 7 of Fortnite finishes on Thursday February 28, and typically new Battle Passes launch on the same day that preceding ones end.

So it’s possible that Fortnite season 8 will have a release date of Thursday February 28 with teasers revealed in the lead-up to it.

And ahead of the Fortnite season 8 launch fans have been delivered some shock patch notes news.

It’s been claimed that part of the Fortnite season 8 patch notes have leaked early.

In a post online GamingIntel claimed to have received a screenshot of the Fortnite season 8 patch notes which allegedly were discovered by leaders.

The description for it allegedly says: “Stand your ground!

“Season 8 begins as a devastating earthquake tears apart the island.

“Discover what’s changed in locations like Tilted Towers and Polar Peak, and venture underground in newly exposed areas!

“Check out the new Battle Pass and further customise your experience with unlockable lobby backgrounds while unlocking new styles for all six customisable skins.

“Experience the official launch of Fortnite Creative, and use all new prefabs, devices, and weapons on your islands in Save The World, battle against the Storm using the all-new revamped hero system!”

GamingIntel said they “cannot officially verify the legitimacy of this image” but it does “feature some connotations of being real”.

It has been widely rumoured that Fortnite season 8 will kick off with a huge earthquake that could massively change the Battle Royale map.

But Fortnite fans have been left divided on Twitter over whether this is what the actual Fortnite season 8 patch notes will end up looking like.

Reliable Fortnite leaker lucas7yoshi_ tweeted: “THEY DON’T ‘ACCIDENTALLY’ RELEASE PATCH NOTES”.

While one fan tweeted: “I have a weird feeling its real”.

And another posted: “I also think that Epic wouldn’t put ‘places like tilted towers’ just doesn’t seem right”.
