Queen Letizia of Spain looks radiant as she arrives to present gold medals for fine art

Queen Letizia of Spain arrived at the Palace of la Merced in Cordova, Southern Spain yesterday much to the delight of royal well-wishers who had patiently waited to meet her.

The 46-year-old royal chose a stylish black and white houndstooth design for the outing and was photographed greeting the crowd before making her way to the palace.

The Spanish monarch, who was joined by her husband King Felipe VI, added a pop of colour to her ensemble with a pair of red pumps and co-ordinating drop earrings featuring a scarlet gem.

Her Majesty’s hair was blow dried to perfection and styled in a slightly off centre parting.

The King of Spain wore a smart grey suit with a striped shirt and a maroon tie for the royal engagement.

Queen Letizia’s chic two-piece outfit comprised of a matching top and knee-length skirt which appeared to be a dress from a distance.

She carried a stylish black leather handbag which was embellished with silver studs.

After engaging in a royal walkabout, the King and Queen of Spain made their way the Palacio de la Merced for an art ceremony.

The royals delivered Gold Medals of Merit in Fine Art from 2017, recognising people who have excelled in the arts or work to conserve artistic heritage.

Winners of the awards included actors, photographers, singers and composers.
