Jasmine Harman: A Place In The Sun host in meltdown on Collectaholics 'I want to cry'

In an episode aired last week, Jasmine Harman, 43, and her Collectaholics co-host Mark Hill met Jena, a man who boasts an incredible collection of teddy bears. Having been introduced, the collector proceeded to meet some of the special characters he had acquired over the years. “One of Jena’s favourite bears is Paul the polar bear, made by sought after artist Karin De Lorenzo,” she told viewers. Jena then revealed Paul and held him up for Jasmine to greet.

Cooing with delight, the blonde beauty gushed: “Oh, it makes me feel a bit — I want to cry.

“He’s so cute,” she squealed, fanning herself.

“Have a cuddle, that’s what bears are for,” Jena offered as he handed the bear over.

“Teddy bears are popular collectors’ items and bear conventions take place all over the world,” antiques expert Mark explained to fans.

“They’re a great opportunity for collectors to hunt down their favourite teddies.”

Ahead of the episode, Jasmine took to Instagram to inform her 18,000 followers about what was coming up.

She uploaded a picture of herself with Mark, Jena and an abundance of bears.

“Who is watching Collectaholics on @bbctwo?” she asked. “I loved these collections!

“I even bought my very own bear,” she added.

Fans took to the comments section to share their enthusiasm for the programme, with one saying: “Just switched on.”

“Love this show,” another said. “Do you still have the green teddy bear?”

“Watched it earlier. Loved it. Well done guys,” a third chipped in.

Jasmine’s series of Collectaholics was first aired in 2015 and was shown again on BBC Two last week, with an episode airing each day.

The show sees Jasmine and Mark meet people with collections which range from vintage cars to fossils.

Jasmine is best known for hosting Channel 4’s A Place In The Sun since 2004.

She also fronted a documentary called My Hoarder Mum and Me in 2011, which featured her mouther Vasoulla and showed the presenter and her siblings attempting to help with her condition.

Collectaholics is available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.
