Man Utd team news: Predicted 4-2-3-1 line-up to face PSG – Pogba starts, key man left out

The Red Devils are unbeaten in 11 matches but face their toughest test against the French champions at Old Trafford.

Manchester United beat Fulham 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday with a number of key stars rested.

Solskjaer is expected to revert to his favoured XI for the clash against PSG though.

That means up front Marcus Rashford will come in for Romelu Lukaku while Jesse Lingard will take the place of Juan Mata.

The left wing position is perhaps the most uncertain with Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez fighting for a Champions League start.

Martial impressed with a fine individual effort against Fulham though and has likely put himself ahead of the former Arsenal man in Solskjaer’s thinking.

That means Sanchez could have to settle for a place on the bench for the last 16 showdown.

The backline could see three changes after Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling started at the weekend.

Ashley Young, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof are expected to come back in.

The latter was left out of the squad to face Fulham because of a slight knock.

Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic are expected to continue in central midfield allowing Paul Pogba to work his magic further forward.

And Solskjaer has challenged Martial, believing he has the talent to reach the same levels of Cristiano Ronaldo for the club.

“He does have similarities, of course,” explained Solskjaer.

“If he wants to be at Cristiano’s level, Anthony knows what he has to do.

“It’s up to him. He has the talent.”

Neymar will miss both legs of the Champions League match for PSG as he has a broken metatarsal.

Expected Manchester United XI: De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Bailly, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba; Lingard, Martial, Rashford
