Jennifer Lawrence, 28, is officially off the market with news of her engagement to New York art gallery director Cooke Maroney, 34, as confirmed by People magazine. The Oscar-winning actress was sporting a “massive ring” while celebrating with Maroney at Raoul’s restaurant in New York. A witness, who spotted the pair together told PageSix, the couple and their friends were definitely marking a big moment. The source said: “It was a giant rock. They seemed like they were celebrating and people were talking about it.
“The ring was very noticeable. They were sitting back in a corner. She was wearing a cute black dress with white polka dots.”
Jennifer and Cooke have been dating for just over a year, after her split from Mother! director Darren Aronofsky, 49, in November 2017.
But who is Cooke Maroney?
Cooke Maroney is listed as a director at Gladstone 64, a location of Gladstone Gallery in Manhattan’s trendy Upper East Side.
According to Cosmopolitan, Cooke parents are Vermont farm owners James Maroney and Suki Fredericks.
Cooke followed his dad – an art dealer in Manhattan – into the same profession, studying art history at New York University.
He was introduced to Jennifer by her best friend Laura Simpson.
Since getting together, the pair have maintained a low profile on their relationship.
