The Nintendo Switch is going from strength to strength. Nintendo’s hybrid games console sold an incredible 20 million units in the first half of 2018 alone. And some of the Switch’s success is surely due to the availability of many great free games for  Nintendo’s device.

The Nintendo Switch does not come cheap, costing £320 in the UK ($300 in the US).

And many players feel compelled to shell out an extra £55 ($70) for the fancy Switch Pro Controller.

This may make you disinclined to spend any more money on expensive Nintendo Switch games.

Fortunately there are some great games on the Nintendo Switch available for free.

Fortnite, the biggest game out right now is completely free-to-play and is totally at home on the Switch.
