John Cena: WWE legend addresses fan criticism on Twitter after Royal Rumble absence

Cena shared one of his usual inspirational tweets earlier today but mistook the word “you’re” with your” and several people jumped on the comments’ section to correct him.

The Champ posted: “If your going to gamble, bet on yourself. Brave chances backed up by constant effort, can lead to amazing things.”

The Leader of the Cenation then quickly corrected his error with another motivational statement in which he combined his comedic chops.

The 16-time world champion urged everyone to own up to their mistakes, even when it’s only about incorrect grammar or spelling.

Cena tweeted: “Always take ownership of mistakes. Lessons can be learned from even the smallest of things, like proofreading or knowing the difference between “your” and “you’re”. Thanks to all out there keeping me accountable. Live. Learn. Love life.”

The ex-WWE Champion wrestles on a part-time basis with Vince McMahon’s promotion due to his advanced age of 41 and his Hollywood schedule, which keeps getting busier.

The former World Heavyweight Champion has appeared in various blockbuster comedies like Trainwreck, Blockers as well as Daddy’s Home 1 and 2.

He is now cutting his teeth in action movies as well as he played a lead role in the Transformers spinoff Bumblebee and will also co-star with legendary martial artist Jackie Chan in Project X-traction.

Cena has worked with various Hollywood celebrities like Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and many more.

The wrestling legend was set to take a break from acting and participate in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match last month but was omitted due to a reported ankle injury.

WWE claimed he hurt his foot during a No1 Contender’s Fatal 4-Way Match against Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor and Baron Corbin.

Cena seems to have suffered the injury when McIntyre put him in an Ankle Lock submission move before Balor’s victory.

His WWE return is unknown as he is now in Canada filming his next movie Playing with Fire.

The film production will take place from February until late March.

That means he may miss WrestleMania 35 on April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in New York.
