ITV News: 'Never going to forget this' Presenter left red-faced after HUGE slip-up

ITV News viewers were not expecting anything out of the ordinary during Friday night’s edition of the news – but they did see a presenter lose her cool.

ITV presenter Becky Jago presented the entire show without issue before she signed off.

While the presenters discussed the upcoming inclement weather, Becky was told: “That’s it. We’re on snow watch again.”

Becky absentmindedly responded: “Ugh, my kids will not be happy if we don’t get a good dump.”

To which her colleague replied: “Haha, we will! I’m sure we will.”

But Becky knew she had messed up as she placed her close-by stack of papers over her face before laughing: “Bye!”

ITV News Anglia’s Twitter account seemed to find the situation amusing as well, as they later tweeted: “Not the most orthodox end to a programme we’ve ever had!

“Let’s hope we get that ‘big dump’… #dumpgate #uksnow.”

Becky herself chimed in by tweeting: “Looks like I’m not going to be able to forget about this one for a while…”

Luckily her fans rallied behind her as they replied to her tweet, with one saying: “Love it Becky am gutted I missed that last night we all need a good laugh in this cold weather x.”

Another agreed: “It was quality Becky. Love a bit of humour on the local news.”

While a third laughed: “Made me laugh especially Becky trying not to laugh.”

“Nice one Becky, I was eating at the time and nearly choked when you said that,” added another.

“The look on your face as soon as you realised what you had said was brilliant!”

This isn’t the first TV blunder viewers have had this year, as a recent “no confidence” vote was interrupted by some unfortunate subtitles.

Michael Gove was seen hitting out at Jeremy Corbyn saying: “No way can this country ever allow that man to be our Prime Minister,” in reference to Corbyn.

However the BBC subtitles read: “No way can this country ever allow Batman to be our Prime Minister.”

BBC viewers quickly chimed in on Twitter, with one saying: “Well, Gove is just wrong. The PM should always be herself. Unless she can be Batman. Then the PM should be Batman.”

And another said: “Sorry Gove, I disagree, we should absolutely make Batman Prime Minister.”

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like The Dark Knight will become Prime Minister anytime soon.
