The 42-year-old actress, who plays Michelle Connor on Coronation Street, looked sensational as she hit the gym earlier today. Dressed in skintight lycra leggings and a neon sports bra, Kym Marsh posed for an impressive selfie in the mirror. The brunette bombshell ensured her washboard abs were impossible to miss as she displayed her slogan bralette which bore the phrase: “Mum in training.” Sharing the shot with her 126,000 Instagram followers, she captioned the upload: “Leg day for Lolly.”
Fans flocked to the comments section to compliment the Corrie star.
“Looking fit,” one said, while another praised: “You look amazing.”
“Great abs there,” a third chipped in, as a fourth Instagram user quipped: “I wanna like this twice!”
The eye-popping pic comes after Kym Marsh spoke out about discovering she had pre-cancerous cells following a smear test 10 years ago.
The former Hear’Say singer urged women to have smear tests as she recalled the year her son Archie was stillborn.
“I have one every year as I was diagnosed with pre-cancerous cells 10 years ago,” she wrote in her column in this week’s OK! Magazine.
“It was back in 2009 and it was the year I lost Archie — Archie died in the February and then Jade Goody passed away from cervical cancer in the March,” she continued.
“A few months later, I had my first smear test after losing my son and that’s when I was diagnosed.
“It was horrific but I went and had the cells removed,” Kym explained.
Kym also spoke out about cervical cancer on Twitter last week, telling her 790,000 followers: “It’s cervical cancer prevention week and I cannot stress enough how important it is to to get your smear test.
“It takes a few seconds and it may be uncomfortable and I guess to some embarrassing, but it could save your life!
“Heading for mine today, go get yours,” she encouraged.
Kym first shot to fame with Hear-Say in 2001 after they were created on talent show Popstars.
She later quit the band and launched a solo career, achieving two top 10 singles in the UK.
In 2006, she joined Coronation Street as Michelle Connor.
Kym was married to EastEnders star Jack Ryder, 37, from 2002 until 2009 and tied the knot with Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, 43, in 2012, before they divorced in 2014.
