Fortnite update 7.30 early PATCH NOTES: Chiller Grenade, server downtime news, bug fixes

Fortnite update 7.30 early patch notes have been revealed ahead of the next major Epic Games release.

Update 7.30 will go live following a period of server downtime on the morning of January 29.

And according to an in-game news post, the new patch will introduce the brand new Chiller Grenade.

“Give your enemies cold feet with this winter blast!” reads an in-game Chiller Grenade preview.

The Chiller Grenade is likely to momentarily immobilise enemies, giving you a better chance of making a kill.

And if the early patch notes are anything to go by, it looks like update 7.30 is going to be one of the biggest of the season so far.

“Curious on some of the major bug fixes coming to @FortniteGame in v7.30?” reads a Sean Hamilton tweet. “Swing by our Top Community Issues Trello Board to track known issues and their status.”

The Fortnite Trello board contains a wealth of potential bug fixes for the game, as Epic fixes Stormwing problems, scoreboard issues and ziplines.

Epic has fixed a problem with Aim Assist not working properly against vehicles and the Mounted Turrets.

Players who have complained about not being able to shoot after dropping from the Battle Bus will also be happy to hear that a fix is at hand.

Auto shooting issues have been fixed for players using gamepads on mobile, while a whole host of zipline problems are no more.

Elsewhere, the scoreboard will now accurately display the elimination count and other stats.

One of the more welcome fixes involves the Stormwing challenge. Players who haven’t been able to complete the ‘Use an X-4 Stormwing in different matches challenge’ can now get those Battle Stars.

Finally, Epic Games has fixed an issue with the screen shaking while walking on ice, as well as instances of the leaf effect not disappearing after walking through cornfields.

Check back on January 29 for the full list of Fortnite Battle Royale patch notes from Epic Games.
