Emmerdale spoilers: Maya Stepney DEAD after explosive argument with Jacob Gallagher?

Maya Stepney (played by Louise Clean) could meet her end, as spoiler images for next week’s instalment of ITV’s Emmerdale capture the teacher passed out in her living room.

The educator suffers a nasty fall while packing her belongings following a row with teenager Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren Plant).

Leading up to the incident, Jacob is caught cosying up to Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) by a furious Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).

Liv’s brother is raging when he sees the two youngsters cuddling and throws Jacob out of the Mill Cottage.

A day later Jacob meets with Maya, who is twice his age, and the pair share a moment, before Aaron interrupts them.

It soon becomes clear to Jacob that Maya has stitched him up and he is furious with her.

Fuming, the 15-year-old schoolboy tells her to stay away from him during an intense conversation, leaving Maya crushed.

Worried she is losing control of Jacob, Maya decides to leave the village the next day.

But while she is packing her things away she falls off a stool and hits her head, rendering her unconscious.

Will Maya die as a result of her horrific fall? Or is there a chance someone will come to her rescue?

There are some viewers who would be happy to see the back of her, as the grooming storyline has unsettled many fans of the show.

One viewer recently tweeted: “I want to gauge my eyes out watching Maya and Jacob, but that’s how I know how well it’s being played! Poor Jacob is so clueless that this is wrong and she is grooming him.”

Another person fumed: “What game is Maya playing? Leave Jacob alone!” while a third commentator said: “Jacob is in this too deep.”

Someone else stated: “The Maya and Jacob storyline is actually making me want to vomit. It’s an important storyline though, grooming by women is still seen as a joke. It also serves as a reminder that families are groomed not just the child.”

Actress Louise, who plays paedophile Maya, previously suggested her character’s “damaged” past could be why she is grooming Jacob.

Speaking to The Mirror, she divulged: “She is obviously damaged, she is desperately insecure, she is needy.

“One of the social workers from Barnardo’s was telling me often abusers have been abused in their childhood, it is almost as if the emotional part of their brain is stilted.”

Also, she explained the affair may not be “sexually motivated”, adding: “It is emotionally motivated. There is a sexual element to it, but it isn’t about sex.
