A huge feud between opera-lite singers Katherine Jenkins and Alfie Boe continues to rumble on. The tension reportedly began when the pair starred together in a production of Carousel in the West End in 2017. Rumours began to surface of a feud between the two, and according to various anonymous sources the tension rose when Jenkins was given a bigger dressing room, despite Boe taking the lead role of Carousel operator Billy Biegelow.
And Jenkins was given the final bow despite him playing the lead part in the production.
The drama had appeared to end but that was before the opera singer found out one of her promotional posters had been defaced with the c-word.
She was at a HMV store in Manchester for a signing session when she noticed the crude word on her poster.
Staff at the store told her Boe was behind it, who were hastily trying to cover it up so Jenkins did not see it, the Sun reports.
An onlooker said: “Katherine was absolutely shocked when she saw it.
“She has no problem with Alfie after they worked together, but he clearly does. The word he wrote is as unpleasant as it gets.
“She noticed someone had tried to cover up her poster and asked why. Embarrassed staff had to admit what had gone on.
“She just looked very hurt and upset by it.”
Sources close to Boe said: “Anyone could have done this.”
Jenkins told Loose Women: “I wish I could tell you that story is not true, but it did happen.
“I read that there was this big feud between us but I don’t know anything about a feud, I have two kids and an album out, I don’t have time to be arguing with anybody.
“I have two children and an album out, I don’t have time for fighting.
“I don’t know what makes somebody you know you have to ask him really…but obviously upsetting to read that, but I’m a big girl.”
Jenkins is married with two children, she married her American artist and film producer Andrew Levitas at Hampton Court Palace in 2014.
They have two children together: Aaliyah Reign Levitas, born in September 2015 and Xander Robert Selwyn Levitas, born in April 2008.
The singer has ruled out having any more children, commenting “two is full-on.”
