Microsoft Office 365 update offers great news for Apple MacBook users

For the very first time, Apple MacBook and iMac owners are getting access to Microsoft’s popular Office 365 software straight from the Mac App Store.

This will allow Apple users the ability to get much easier and faster access to these applications which include Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

Microsoft fans can also now download the entire Office 365 suite onto their Mac in just one click.

Along with downloading this software straight from the Store, there’s also the ability to purchase a subscription for Office 365 from within the apps.

Office 365 for Mac is uniquely designed specifically to support features that are unique to the Mac experience — features like Dark Mode and Continuity Camera in macOS, as well as the MacBook Pro Touch Bar and the Mac’s Track Pad.

The news of Microsoft Office arriving in the App Store comes as Apple has announced some more major Mac news with the company celebrating 35 years of this popular machine.

In a post on Twitter, Apple CEO Tim Cook, said: “35 years ago, Macintosh said hello.

“It changed the way we think about computers and went on to change the world.

“We love the Mac, and today we’re proud that more people than ever are using it to follow their passions and create the future.”

Apple’s MacBook range was recently updated to include the all-new MacBook Air.

This device, which was revealed in October, includes a new 13.3-inch Retina display, lighter design and more power via the latest Core i5 processor.

There’s also an upgraded keyboard which now includes a Touch ID fingerprint scanner so you can unlock the Mac and pay for shopping online via a simple tap.

Apple has ditched the famous the MagSafe and replaced it with two USB-C Thunderbolt ports which charge the device and offer connections to numerous external devices and displays.
