Set 27 years after 2017’s 80s-set box office smash, It Chapter 2 sees the Losers’ Club all grown up and returning to the town of Derry, Maine. Pennywise the Dancing Clown has returned and the gang have to team up once again to put this ancient evil to rest. James McAvoy stars as Bill Denbrough, opposite Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader, and the Glass actor has revealed just how freaky the Pennywise actor was on set. Speaking on Good Morning America of Skarsgard, McAvoy said: “He’s amazing. The guy who plays the clown is terrifying.”
McAvoy continued: “He’s a lovely guy, and yet he really freaked me out.
“I remember standing there with the rest of the cast, all these adults, and we’d all done weird freaky stuff.
“And we are all looking at each other going, ‘I don’t like being here. I don’t like being an actor today.’
“He really did, he really freaked me out. I never liked clowns as a kid.”
