Immobile recently signed a new deal that would keep him at Lazio until 2023 with several top clubs believed to be interested in the Italian.

Il Messaggero report that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Maurizio Sarri are sending scouts to watch the 28-year-old this weekend against Napoli.

It’s been claimed in Italy that Napoli also want Immobile as they prepare for life without Dries Mertens next season.

20:00 UPDATE: Idrissa Gueye out, Abdoulaye Doucoure in

Everton are prepared to sell Idrissa Gana Gueye as long as they can secure the signing of Abdoulaye Doucoure, reports in France claim.

Tuchel has been forced to exile contract rebel Adrien Rabiot from the first-team set up under instruction from sporting director Paulo Henrique, leaving the German short of options in midfield.

According to France Football, PSG’s pursuit of Senegal international Gueye is currently being blocked by Watford holding on to Doucoure.

Silva is only willing to let Gueye leave should he have a replacement lined up and he is keen on a reunion with PSG’s target and his former player Doucoure.

19:30 UPDATE: Alvaro Morata to Barcelona off

Alvaro Morata will not be leaving Chelsea for Barcelona, reports in Spain claim.

Morata – a £58m arrival from Real Madrid just 18 months ago – seems keen to leave London for Spain.

And Barcelona were said to be interested in the striker after their sold Munir El Haddadi to Sevilla for €1m this winter.

But the Nou Camp club will NOT be moving for Spain’s striker this transfer window.

That is according to Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who claim Barca manager Ernesto Valverde is looking at other options bar Morata.

19:00 UPDATE: Chelsea tracking Arber Zeneli

Chelsea are interested in signing Heerenveen winger Arber Zeneli.

That’s according to Sky Sports, who claim Maurizio Sarri’s side could snap him up for just £5million.

Zeneli, 23, is out of contract in June and Heerenveen may have to accept a nominal fee for their talented Kosovo international.

It’s said that Chelsea, along with a number of Premier League clubs, will attend Heerenveen’s clash with Ajax this weekend to watch Zeneli in action.

18:45 UPDATE: Gary Cahill may snub Fulham interest

Chelsea ace Gary Cahill might not fancy a move to Fulham says Leroy Rosenior.

Fulham have been linked with a move for the centre-back, but Rosenior isn’t convinced he’ll want to make the short move to Craven Cottage.

“Gary Cahill’s been mentioned who would be a tremendous signing for Fulham,” he told Love Sport Radio. “I don’t know if he would go there.

“He’s had stronger characters around him. He became captain when Terry moved on, so obviously he’s a leader.”

18:30 UPDATE: Gonzalo Higuain would have joined Spurs over Chelsea – Saunders

Gonzalo Higuain would have chosen to join Tottenham ahead of Chelsea if Spurs wanted to sign him last summer, claims former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders.

“What a signing that is for Chelsea,” Saunders told talkSPORT. “That’s exactly what Chelsea need, a player of that ilk. He’s a class act, a great finisher and gets goals everywhere he’s been.

“What are Spurs going to do?” Saunders continued. “They had an advantage over Chelsea at the start of the season because Chelsea weren’t in the Champions League, Spurs were in the Champions League.

“So Higuain, if he had an option in the summer for what club to go for, he maybe would have taken less wages and gone to Spurs because they were in the Champions League.”
